Scottish Singer/Songwriter Amy Papiransky returns with new pop single “Summertime Blues”, 4th June with support from KT Tunstall.

Hot on the heels of her iTunes top 20 success, “Dear Amy”, Amy Papiransky’s new single, “Summertime Blues” is a breezy, soulful pop number for lazy sunny days.

The classically trained multi-instrumentalist Amy, originally from Keith in the North East of Scotland has received support from BRIT and Ivor Novello Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter KT Tunstall and her Management team.

KT says: “Amy is a brilliant new Scottish female talent, it was a no-brainer for me to see what I could do to help her get closer to her dream of living life as a working musician; the very same dream I once had growing up in Scotland.”

Amy is thrilled to have the backing of one of her musical idols: “There are no words to describe how much having KT’s support means to me. I feel so lucky, it’s honestly like a dream come true. She’s been a role model to me since the age of 13 – I was inspired to write music after seeing KT live for the first time in 2009 in Aberdeen. To have support from any Musician you admire is amazing, but when it’s your absolute hero, it’s pretty unbelievable!”

The heartfelt, “Summertime Blues” is about one of Amy’s best friends. “She is so strong and caring but when her partner is having a bad time he will often call off their relationship, leaving her feeling hurt, confused and insecure. The line “I should want the world to want me, not only you” is about her realising that even though she loves him deeply, she deserves to be treated with more care and respect.” says Amy.
