The Coral, Scott Matthews, Walt Disco, The Whiskys and more at Belladrum Tartan Heart festival 2019.
Following a session with Scott Matthews earlier in the day we caught his stripped back set in the Grassroots stage. I think Lewis Capaldi was on the main stage at the same time which accounted for a smaller but devoted crowd for the Elusive singer. This was perfect time to grab a curry and a pint and chill out to tracks from his recent LP, The Great Untold and his acclaimed 2006 debut, Passing Stranger.
It was a different scene for Liverpool’s finest, The Coral in the Hothouse stage. They are force to be reckoned with and deliver an energetic sing-a-long set. Elsewhere across the festival site the Whiskys were whipping up a storm in the Trailer Trash stage.
One of the best performances of the weekend belonged to Glasgow’s Walt Disco who performed a flamboyant 80s-esque set in a packed out Seedlings stage.
Plus local rock “supergroup” The Collective whipped the crowd into a frenzy at The Bella Bar along with Mystic Shoes, The Vandal, Be Like Pablo and more. See all the photos below.
The home-grown festival outside the Highland capital of Inverness played host to some of the biggest names of the moment including Tom Odell and Jess Glynne and mega draw Lewis Capaldi plus Smiths legend, Johnny Marr and Glasgows indie-electro CHVRCHES.
Team Netsounds were on site at the Skiddle bus filming sessions with an array of emerging and breakthrough acts including JC Stewart, Wildwood Kin, King Nun and The Local Honeys and Music Plus acts to name a few. We also had chats with Johnny Marr, SOAK and Highland artist, Tamzene. You can see all our sessions and interviews as soon as they drop on our Facebook and YouTube pages.
