Mega Bog is the moniker of song-dribbler Erin Birgy.  She is in the UK and Europe during August and September playing a number of gigs and festivals including a stop over in the North of Scotland.

Based in Brooklyn, New York Mega Bog is an experimental pop project that begun when a swimming trip with friends turned into a jamming session.  Birgy describes their music as “hyper-sexual, Aquarian music”.

Influenced in places by bands like Big Thief, iji, Big Eater, Causings, Hand Habits, Heatwarmer and others they create their own homemade cloud of pop and jazz.  On their latest LP,  Happy Together, Mega Bog leapfrogs further into the storm.  Dizzying fusion of lounge, pop and bouncing rocks under poetic tantrums of love gone all the way wrong.

Mega Bog will be playing the Tooth & Claw in Inverness on Thursday 24th August with support from Scottish thrash pop indie rock outfit Garden of Elks who are fresh from their storming set at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

Tickets are £5 and available here.
