Netsounds scooped an interview with indie legend and guitar hero, Johnny Marr.

There was one guy we wanted to chat with at this year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.  Right up to the day of Belladrum we had pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact that it wouldn’t be happening.  And then we got word that Johnny Fucking Marr would be popping up to see us.

In the interview Johnny Marr talks about his new single (The Bright Parade), festivals, collaborations, new music and that time he picked up his first guitar.

Later in the evening Johnny wowed the main stage crowd with solo hits, Easy Money and Armatopia plus Electronic’s Getting Away With It and of course Smiths classics How Soon Is Now and a mass sing a long of There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.  Possible the best proper rock star performance Belladrum has seen to date.
