Things are going well here in Catskill. I’ve been working on new music, listening to podcasts and reacquainted myself with FIFA19.

Does music mean more to you now than ever and how are you responding to it creatively?

I think I just have more time to focus now. It’s giving me some sort of structure which has been really helpful.

What music are you listening to right now?

I’ve been finding comfort in old favourites. Bill Callahan, Mark Kozelek and Dan Reeder. Also Fiona Apple’s new album!

Have you discovered any music gems during isolation?

Nadia Reid’s new album is fantastic and definitely worth checking out.

Get fit or embrace the bulge?

I haven’t owned trainers since high school…

Have you been surprised at the contents of your kitchen cupboards? And have you made anything delicious from said contents?

I’ve been really getting into brewing. There’s currently 3 gallons on potato wine in the pantry along with beer and mead. egg sandwiches are still my staple….

What habits have started to form or are starting to fade?

Smoking, slowly, kinda…

What random things are you buying online?

A bathmat.

What are you doing to keep motivated?

Limiting FIFA to 30 minutes a day.

What are you most looking forward to doing again this is all over?

Getting on a plane and seeing my family.

And finally, have you anything you would like to plug or declare?

I’ve just released a new EP called, Catskill/Nottingham.  I’ve released it with English singer-songwriter, Felix M-B and we have covered each others songs.  I’ve done version of his song, ‘Danny (The Pipes)’ and he has covered my track, ‘Twist’.  We did it as a way to pass the time and stay connected.

For Friday Juneteenth (19th June), Bandcamp will be donating their share of sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. In a continuous effort we are sharing these two songs with all profits going to Black Lives Matter until further notice.
