TRNSMT Festival will be beaming out from Glasgow Green on 7th-9th July and we will be there like excited schoolchildren to see Radiohead, Belle & Sebastian, Biffy Clyro and host of other great acts over the weekend. Here are some artists we recommend you should discover or revisit at TRNSMT:

Belle & Sebastian
No indie disco is complete without “The Boy with the Arab Strap”.  It’s also 20 years ago June (2016) since Belle & Sebastian’s debut album Tigermilk was released.  They are in the mood to celebrate.

Blossoms
Stockport quintet with sparkling indie-pop melodies.  The band have been hyped up beyond belief but strip that away and enjoy the power riffs and infectious melodies.  There is something in here for fans of The Coral.

JR Green
They are two brothers (Jacob and Rory Green) hail from the tiny Scottish village of Strontian.  Do not let the sight of an accordion conjure up images of Mumford & Sons.  That, they are not. They are folk with a raw edge and grit.

Lewis Capaldi
Young singer-songwriter with an incredible voice and who sold out King Tut’s in Glasgow on the back of one song.

Neon Waltz
Scottish 6-piece Neon Waltz from the far North of Scotland have been a favourite of ours from the beginning back in 2013. The 6-piece play rousing, uplifting and tight melodic indie rock with a psychedelic edge influenced by the likes of The Coral, The National and The Walkmen.

Radiohead
One of the most incredible live bands on the planet.  There is no more to say.

Sahara
The indie-rock Dundee 4-piece with a lively stage presence have been tipped for big things. A young and determined band who in a short space of time have already played festivals such as Y Not Festival, King Tut’s New Year’s Revolution, as well as supporting bands like The View, Neon Waltz and Model Aeroplanes.

The Vegan Leather
The Scottish art-pop band have been a favourite sight for us at a number of festivals over the past year.  Brilliant funky, indie-disco-pop.

VISTAS
If you want some high energy indie rock with a swagger and big choruses then look no further than Edinburgh’s VISTAS.

Vukovi
Another band who deliver an intense and electrifying performance.  They made their mark this year with their debut self-titled razor sharp album.

Wuh Oh

Producer and sample guru who will bring his magnificent jazzy, house funky beeps and beats to the King Tut’s stage.

Yonaka
The Brighton based 4-piece are renowned for their intense and fiery live shows with front-woman Theresa Jarvis bringing a raw energy that dominates the stage.
