Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro may have taken the top billing at Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival, however, the emerging bands on secondary stages, King Tuts and Jack Rocks, certainly made an impression. As the scheduling allowed us to see more bands than we could possibly round up, we’ve listed some of our favourite sets below.
Jack Rocks Stage in partnership with This Feeling
Jack Rocks and Britain’s biggest rock’n’roll night, This Feeling, curated a line up packed with some of the best in new music throughout the UK, shining a light on the headliners of tomorrow.
The Wholls
Bedford alt-rock four piece The Wholls are future headliners in the making. Their energy, passionately delivered lyrics, grungy guitars and thunderous drums, packed out the Jack Rocks tent.

Black Honey
Brighton four-piece Black Honey sucked in the Jack Rocks crowd with an intense, high-octane performance. Front woman Izzy Baxter, has a coaxing delivery similar to Lana Del Rey, leaving the audience in the palm of her hand for the duration of the show.

The Blinders
The Manchester-based band gave everything they had in a thrilling, frenzied performance. With their intense energy and loud, politically charged punk rock, The Blinders showed why they’re one of the UK’s most exciting new bands.

Judas
The indie rock four piece from London delivered huge anthemic songs with exceptional energy.

Anteros
It was a full house in the Jack Rocks tent for London-based four piece Anteros. Their perfectly crafted hook-laden indie pop songs instantly feel familiar.
Where to catch them? Anteros play Tenement TV’s Tenement Trail in Glasgow on the 30th September.

The Phantoms
The West Lothian band delivered their anthemic tracks with a high energy performance which sounded phenomenal in the intimate Jack Rocks tent.

Moonlight Zoo
The Jack Rocks tent was rammed for the Dunfermline four piece. Moonlight Zoo’s uplifting set was bursting with upbeat rhythms and catchy lyrics throughout.

Paves
Paves produced one of the finest performances of the weekend. The London four piece are top class musicians with a vintage rock’n’roll sound.

The King Tuts Stage Powered by Utilita Energy
The King Tut’s Stage powered by Utilita Energy played host to some of the country’s favourite new artists, just as the iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut has done for the past 25 years.
