Photos of Alt. Metal/Rock acts Alkanes, Fight The Raptor and The Hunt live at Tooth & Claw, Inverness.

Our intrepid photographer stepped out with a swagger and armed with his new Nikon D500, crop frame, low light beast of a camera to snap a night of devastating rawk n roll from Alkanes, Fight The Raptor and The Hunt.

Alkanes were supported by two bands who were playing for the first time live in their respective line-ups. And a mighty impressive sound they made.

The Hunt are a thrashy guitar rock and drums 2-piece with songs and banter to match.

Fight The Raptor are also new to the scene with their Alt.Metal/Rock epic screaming thrash metal riffs.

Both acts are so new that at the time of publishing this post neither had any presence on Soundcloud/Bandcamp/Facebook etc. Keep your eyes peeled.

Alkanes are a 3-piece Alt. Rock/Alt. Metal band based in Aberdeen who formed in 2014 They have a particular focus on big dynamic riffs and draw influence from bands such as Arcane Roots, Biffy Clyro, Muse, Oceansize and Fightstar.

The band’s debut EP A Different Kind of Perfect is out now on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon and Google Play.
