Abbie Gordon: Lighting Up Scotland’s Music Scene

Abbie Gordon, a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Irvine, is rapidly capturing the attention of Scotland’s music scene with her remarkable talent and compelling performances. Introduced to the transformative power of music at the tender age of 6 by Taylor Swift, Abbie’s passion for performance blossomed through dance and musical theatre.

During the 2020 lockdown, inspired by artists like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Lizzy McAlpine, and Inhaler, she delved into songwriting, showcasing a natural talent for crafting heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies, complemented by a voice that commands attention.

Abbie’s debut on Scotland’s live music circuit came in January 2023, supported by Hit The Road, and soon led to performances at notable venues including Belladrum Festival, The Poetry Club, Glad Café and Sneaky Pete’s.

Following a standout performance at King Tut’s supporting Kerr Mercer in March, Abbie Gordon returns to headline the renowned venue on Thursday, August 8th, as part of their prestigious 2024 Summer Nights series, solidifying her status as a rising star in Scotland’s vibrant music scene.
