Adam Ross from Scottish indie folk combo, Randolph’s Leap releases new single from COVID-19 isolation – Petrichor.
The new single, ‘Petrichor‘ is inspired by home-working and the now daily conference video calls brought on by coronavirus self-isolation. It is a re-imagining of a song which originally appeared as a piano ballad on Adam’s self-isolation album ‘(You Can’t Put The) Brakes On Love’ which came out on 20th March.
Adam describes the track as, “a sort of Teenage Fanclub inspired power-pop I recorded it at my home in Aberdeenshire and it comes with a video which parodies Skype conferences and the joys of working from home”
Randolph’s Leap, led by songwriter Adam Ross, have released an extensive and beloved back catalogue via Scottish DIY labels Lost Map and Olive Grove Records and Adam recently toured Scotland, providing music for ‘The Isle of Love’, a successful 5-star reviewed theatre show inspired by the band’s back catalogue and depicting the ups and downs of life on a Hebridean island.
