Twin Atlantic/Declan Welsh & The Decadent West / Dead Pony at Ironworks, Inverness. 11th May 2022
800 or so people people packed into the Ironworks for the first sell out gig since lockdown restrictions ended and it was utter joy to see what we fondly remember as normal, crowned by a crowd surfing , Sam McTrusty from Twin Atlantic.
Twin Atlantic were in town to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album, Free. For the first part of their set they played the album live before they tore the roof off running through tracks from their 15 year career with a mix of hits and newer tracks turning a Wednesday night into an electric Saturday night.
First on stage supporting Twin Atlantic were Dead Pony with a high octane, riff filled set that perfectly set the tone. They were followed by a witty and anthemic indie-rock-post-punk set from Declan Welsh and the Decadent West.
