Highland folk duo, Carma are the subject of our first session of 2018.

Scottish duo Carma are Kenna Ross and Carmen Beaton: Kenna plays piano as well as providing backing vocals and Carmen is lead vocalist and ukulele player.

We filmed this in part, to test out new equipment but also keen to capture the duo following the release of their new single, “A+G” and mid way through a Scottish tour.   They released their first EP in 2017 and their distinct sound has been likened to First Aid Kit, Birdie and Daughter.

The girls have recently added percussion to their live events and have been joined by drummer, Blaire Mackenzie (Gordon James and the Power).

Thanks to Ironworks, Inverness for letting us take over the building on a balmy Saturday morning.
