The Demographic & Avaline Live at The Tooth & Claw
23 August 2026 | The Tooth & Claw, Inverness
Inverness was treated to a brilliant night of live music on Saturday 22 August, as Highland indie-rockers The Demographic headlined The Tooth & Claw as part of the Off Axis network, joined by Avaline and Moray singer-songwriter Lewis Wiles.
The Demographic
The Demographic are quickly establishing themselves as one of the region’s most exciting young bands. Drawing influence from The Strokes, DMA’S and Catfish and the Bottlemen, the five-piece brought plenty of energy to their hometown headline show.
The band have already built up valuable live experience, including touring with Hit The Road, the organisation that has helped develop artists including Lewis Capaldi and Be Charlotte.
Avaline
Supporting were Avaline, relative newcomers to the scene whose sound draws on an eclectic mix of influences. From My Bloody Valentine, October Drift and Ride to The Smashing Pumpkins, My Chemical Romance and The White Stripes, their music brings together elements of shoegaze, indie and alternative rock.
Lewis Wiles
Also appearing on the bill was Moray singer-songwriter Lewis Wiles, who has toured extensively across Europe and has received support from Scotland on Sunday, Roddy Hart on BBC Radio Scotland and Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio.
Lewis has performed at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Celtic Connections and Eden Festival, as well as presenting his own music show on local radio.
