New Music Festival for Inverness - North Star Country Festival

Get ready to kick up your heels and immerse yourself in the heartwarming sounds of country music at the inaugural Northern Star Country Festival, set to grace Inverness in the Scottish Highlands this summer. Taking place at Northern Meeting Park on Saturday, September 6th, this exciting new event promises a day filled with unforgettable live performances, family-friendly entertainment, and a mouthwatering array of food and drink.

Headlining the festival are UK country music giants, THE SHIRES, known for their chart-topping albums and sold-out shows, including a memorable stint at the Royal Albert Hall. Joining them will be folk-country favorites THE WANDERING HEARTS, celebrated for their mesmerising harmonies and captivating storytelling. Also on the lineup is Northern Irish sensation CATHERINE MCGRATH, a rising star in the country pop scene with a string of impressive festival appearances under her belt.

Adding to the excitement, GLASSVILLE will treat audiences to a set brimming with modern country classics, while CHRIS ANDREUCCI brings Nashville vibes with his Scottish roots. RAINTOWN, known for their award-winning blend of contemporary country and Scottish rock, will also take the stage, alongside local favourite Geordie Jack and his band. Rounding out the lineup is the talented KATEE KROSS, promising a taste of Americana charm.

Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Highlands, attendees can expect not only stellar performances but also interactive activities like Duelling Bucking Broncos, Country Karaoke, Line Dancing, and a spirited Best Dressed Cowboy & Cowgirl competition. It’s set to be the ultimate hoedown, celebrating the best of country music amidst Scotland’s stunning scenery.
