Niteworks, the acclaimed Scottish folk-electronica band, recently took to the stage at Eden Court in Inverness as part of their farewell tour, marking a poignant moment for both the band and their fans.
This performance was a part of their Solas na Maidne Tour, which translates to “Morning Light,” symbolising new beginnings even as they bid farewell to their musical journey.
The sold-out show at Eden Court on November 6, 2024, drew a passionate crowd eager to celebrate the band’s 17-year legacy. Niteworks, known for their unique blend of traditional Scottish music with modern electronic elements, delivered an electrifying performance that showcased their most beloved tracks. The atmosphere was filled with energy as fans danced and sang along, creating a memorable experience that resonated deeply within the venue.
Formed by four school friends—Allan, Chris, Innes, and Ruairidh – Niteworks began their journey as teenagers with a shared passion for music. Over the years, they have gained recognition and accolades, including nominations at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards. Their ability to fuse Gaelic lyrics with contemporary sounds has not only captivated audiences but also brought traditional Scottish music to a broader audience.
The performance at Eden Court was more than just a concert; it was a heartfelt farewell from a band that has left an indelible mark on the Scottish music scene. Fans left with memories to cherish and a sense of gratitude for the music that has accompanied them through various stages of life.
Support on the night came from Scotstown Dance Band, an emerging musical trio hailing from the picturesque Scotstown in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Comprising brothers Jacob and Rory Green, the band has evolved from their previous identity as JR Green, where they garnered attention for their engaging performances and distinct sound.
