Pictish Trail’s gig at An Seòmar was a masterclass in genre-bending brilliance. Johnny Lynch delivered a set that was both intimate and electrifying, effortlessly blending lo-fi folk, indie-pop, and experimental electronica. The cosy Inverness venue gave the performance a warm, communal energy – like a secret show among friends.

With his signature mix of humour and heart, Lynch had the crowd laughing one moment and lost in layered soundscapes the next. One of Scotland’s most inventive and endearing performers.

Opening the night was Minneapolis-born/Edinburgh-based songwriter Faith Eliott, whose delicate, poetic songs held the room in quiet awe. Their intricate guitar work and vivid, lyrical imagery created a gentle, otherworldly atmosphere that perfectly set the tone for what was to come.
