Scottish artist LILURA is a captivating songwriter and artist who creates alluring dark electronic beats infused with fun, glittering “witch pop”.

LILURA is Highlands singer-songwriter, Jemma Tweedie who hails from the small seaside town of Nairn.  Between 2012 and 2016 she built up a respected profile performing acoustic across the UK including RockNess Festival and  Belladrum as well as being Cafe Nero’s touring artist in 2013 playing 41 in-store sessions from Aberdeen to London in 20 days.

Jemma then took a year off to focus on her writing and production skills to create a sound she was truly passionate about.  Spending some time in London and Los Angeles she worked with some of the most established producers and writers in pop to improve her own skills and record a collection of songs under the name LILURA.

She ended 2017 on a high releasing the dark electro-pop single “Darkest Desire”, co-written by songwriter and guitarist Dan Richards (One Direction).  She has completed a 5 date Scottish tour to promote the new release and moves into 2018 on a high with more collaborations and releases planned.
