Scottish singer-songwriter, Katie Gregson-MacLeod in session at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
We were introduced to Katie Gregson-MacLeod at this year’s Belladrum festival. The 18 year old musician played on the Free Range Folk Stage and at The Bella Bar over the Bella weekend.
Katie is also part of the Music Plus+ mentoring programme which provides one to one experience with music industry professionals who offer guidance, encouragement, skills and knowledge across a range of industry roles. Music Plus+ is organised by the Scottish Music Centre and supported by Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative.
Before Belladrum Katie would have been regularly spotted gigging in and around her hometown of Inverness. After the summer she is moving to university in Edinburgh where she hopes to immerse herself in the city’s music scene.
Katie told us she is constantly writing and would love to release and EP or even an album in the near future. She is currently recording and hopes to release a couple of tracks before the end of 2019.
Katie performed her track, “I Know Nothing” in session at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
