Northern Star Country Festival Debuts in Inverness
Inverness turned into the home of country music this weekend as the first-ever Northern Star Country Music Festival took over the Northern Meeting Park.
From midday through to the evening, the festival delivered a stellar line-up across two stages – from rising Scottish artists like Erin Ponsonby, to crowd favourites Raintown, Catherine McGrath, and Geordie Jack Band. The energy built throughout the day before big-name acts The Wandering Hearts, Glasville, and headliners The Shires closed the main stage in style.
Meanwhile, the Kickin’ It Country stage kept the party going with everything from live sets and line dancing to Dolly Parton karaoke and a lively finale with First Time Flyers.
With sunshine, cowboy hats, and plenty of dancing, the festival’s debut proved to be an unforgettable celebration of country music in the Highlands. Judging by the smiles and singalongs, Northern Star has firmly planted its roots and set the stage for more to come.
